Hungry? Did you know that at our hostel you can also join us for an extensive dinner buffet? Breakfast is always included. Out and about during the day? Then take a packed lunch with you. Would you rather have lunch at the table? Book in advance of your stay.

With your group to Utrecht − Bunnik, great fun of course! But where do you start organising your trip? We're happy to share our favourite tips with you to have an unforgettable time! 

Free activities

  • In Play Forest Nieuw Wulven you find yourself in the world of the Romans and the Dutch Waterline. A super fun forest to spend a morning. 
  • Another part of that Waterline is Fort Vechten, built between 1867 and 1870. The fort covers 17 hectares and is the second largest fort of the New Dutch Waterline after the Fort Rijnauwen. The fort's grounds are freely accessible. 
  • Apples, plums and cherries, but also pumpkins, a corn maze, cows, sheep and chickens. You'll find it all at the monumental farm Nieuw Slagmaat. 
  • A fun evening activity is Trajectum Lumen. A discovery tour in the dark of artistically lit locations and buildings in Utrecht's extraordinary city centre. New works of light art continue to emerge along the route! 
  • The Utrecht City Archives. With tens of kilometres of archives, half a million photos, films, drawings and prints and an extensive library, the Utrecht Archives are the memory of the city and province. There are special programmes for educational groups.

Paid activities

  • Climb the Dom tower, the symbol of the city of Utrecht. 465 steps and over 112 metres high. It's the highest church tower in the Netherlands with a breathtaking view of the entire city and region. 
  • Discover the story of the Dutch railways in the Railway Museum Utrecht. See beautiful historical trains, visit the exhibition, the Model Warehouse or go on a virtual journey in The Trial by Fire. 
  • At KidZcity, you can find the most exciting, original and fun attractions imaginable. Climbing, sliding, driving, colliding, playing, shooting and crawling. At KidZcity, it's all possible! 
  • Rent a canoe! Get on board in the centre of Utrecht and explore the bustling city centre with its beautiful canals and lively terraces. Or follow the Minstroom or Amelisweerd route through peaceful and beautiful nature. 

Other fun activities are the miffy museum, Sonnenborgh museum and observatory, Rietveld Schröderhuis and University Museum.
