Rotterdam: the city with infinite perspectives. This city is not 'neat and tidy': it's imperfectly perfect. The building and its surroundings blend into one. Every street is different, with different shapes, sizes and corners. Stayokay Rotterdam is perhaps the most special of all. In fact, you'll be staying in the cube houses!

From Stayokay Rotterdam you look at the cozy Oude Haven with its many restaurants and bars. Opposite the hostel you will find Rotterdam Blaak station, from here you can easily travel with the entire group to all attractions in Rotterdam. Scottish, crooked, gorgeous!

We have 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-person rooms. In all rooms you will find:

Forgot to pack your towel? No problem, you can rent a towel at the hostel. Want us to arrange your towel, shampoo and shower gel? We can do that too!

Hungry? Did you know that you can also sit down in our hostel for an extensive dinner buffet? In any case, your breakfast is always included. Do you want to go out during the day? Then bring a packed lunch. Would you rather have lunch at the table? Book this in advance of your stay.

Don't forget to let us know if you have any allergy or special dietary requirements so we can take them into account for you.

Activities in Rotterdam

Travelling to Rotterdam with your group? Great fun of course! But where do you start organising your trip? We are happy to share our favourite tips with you to have an unforgettable time!

A SELECTION OF FREE ACTIVITIES

  • Stayokay Rotterdam is located exactly on the edge of old and new. Visit the old city harbours: a beautiful walk with various information displays along the way.
  • Near the old harbours, you'll also find the Tax and Customs Museum. A surprisingly enjoyable and informative experience. Learn about the history of taxation in the Netherlands and listen to thrilling stories of old smugglers. Free up to 18 years of age. (Adults from €7.50 p.p.)
  • If you walk out on the other side of the hostel you are on Blaak. The new Markthal can be found here. An indoor market in a beautiful building, definitely worth seeing and tasting. 
  • Visit the Katendrecht neighbourhood. In recent years, this district has become one of the trendiest in the city. Stroll along the many shops and coffee bars and through the Kaappark. 
  • Discover Europe's largest port at the visitors' centre Futureland, the information centre of the second Maasvlakte. Visit the panoramic roof for a great view of the modern ports.

 

A SELECTION OF PAID ACTIVITIES 

  • Nature playground the Speeldernis is the oldest and perhaps coolest natural playground in the Netherlands. A great place to play, with an extensive knowledge centre. Definitely worth it!
  • In the Maritime Museum Rotterdam, you can discover the enormous effect that shipping has on our daily lives. In the museum, your group will learn more about shipping and technology in a playful way.  
  • Hand in hand! If there are football enthusiasts in your group, a tour of the Kuip is a must. 
  • An impressive way to discover the port is by taking a cruise. Even more impressive at night when all the lights are on! 
  • Challenge your group (and yourself) in the largest climbing hall in the Netherlands Climbing Wall Rotterdam!
  • I’m on top of the world! Step into the glass rotating panorama lift and ascend to the top of the Euromast. On a clear day, you won't want to miss this view!

Other fun activities include a visit to Blijdorp Zoo or to a real indoor roller rink!
